Owner Carol Sullivan has created the quintessential boutique vineyard in Mattituck.
Tastings are held by appointment only in Gramercy Vineyard’s rustic barn, which was restored and relocated from behind the Mattituck post office. The barn was once part of the blacksmith shop.
The vineyard’s two farms are both over 100 years old and all of the buildings located on the property have been fully restored.
When you come to Gramercy, you are also coming to Carol’s home, where she lives adjacent to the vineyard.
Small groups are able to walk the vineyard and are welcome to spend the day or stop by for a tasting. Outside food is allowed.
The owner also gives tours assisted by her two terriers.
Gramercy has remained a small and intimate establishment featuring some of the best wines on the North Fork as a result of winemaker Roman Roth’s adept craftsmanship.
