Based on the Lost City of Atlantis theme, Long Island Aquarium boasts more than 80 exhibits, many hands-on. Shark tank, penguin encounter, live coral reef, stingray petting, octopus tanks, seal and sea lion show, rainforest display, fish displays, environmental boat tours, observation tower, café and special events. Also features an interactive butterfly and bird experience. Home of Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation.
