Prominently positioned on the Main Road in Jamesport, Sherwood House is a cozy North Fork retreat with rustic charm. The beautifully renovated 1870s farmhouse tasting room boasts an impressive stone fireplace and well-placed couches that encourage guests to unwind.
Established in 1996 by Dr. Charles and Barbara Smithen, new owners Alex Rosanell and Alfredo Apolloni recently introduced a second label, Hound’s Tree, to the vineyard. Sherwood House currently produces a stainless steel-fermented unoaked chardonnay, barrel-fermented oaked chardonnay, a sparkling blanc de blanc, white merlot, merlot, cabernet franc and a Bordeaux-style red blend.
